Mysterious cave that holds several ancient Hawaiian legends. Age of this cave is estimated to be 150'000 years old and used to be underwater.
An interesting cave with some Hawaiian History. There is also an upper cave that can be reached with a hike up a relatively unmarked trail.
Kaneana Cave is a few minutes south of Yokohama Bay on your left as you head back down the coast. You probably didn't notice it on your way north because of the peculiar land formation that conceals the mouth in that direction. Legend has it that this cave was the home of Nanue the shark man. You can spot it by looking for three cement blocks, like road dividers, right in front of the entrance. It's at the foot of a 200-foot outcropping of stone.
