One of the best-preserved castles in Wales, this gigantic fortress features a mammoth gatehouse, striking towers and even a dungeon. Prepare for a medieval adventure! Wander the castle's ramparts, climb its spiral staircases and explore all the little nooks and crannies to imagine life as one of the castle's defenders. Reach the top of the highest tower for the most outstanding views of the gorgeous countryside all around. Castle Road, Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, SA17 5BQ

Make sure you take time to visit this castle. It is an absolute gem! There is so much of this Norman castle standing...most definitely not just a ruin. Fun fact... Kidwelly castle appears in the very first scene of ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’!

Only a small car park next to the castle but there is a bigger one off the main road by the bridge. Dogs allowed & the kids can run around.
