As you take a walking tour of the central business district, the Kenya National Archives are minutes on foot from KICC. Alternatively, a short bus ride from the Bungalow on route no. 46 buses and matatus will take you right to the Archives/Ambassador terminus. If you are a history and traditional culture buff, this one cannot be missed. There is a very unique collection on tribal artefacts from Kenya to West Africa, and then touching on contemporary historical figures including the illustrious Prof. Wangari Maathai. It is inspiring to see our shared history and though some parts of the exhibit can be better displayed, it is definitely worth a visit if you are in the city centre.
