Lake Louise Ski Resort has a vertical rise of 3250 from top to bottom and takes you 10 minutes to FLY down, seriously. If you're really into snowboard/ski, this is the mountain to go.

Lake Louise is West of Sunshine, and while it may seem like a heftier distance, it does work out close to the same distance to the chair lifts when you consider the gondola ride up at Sunshine. It's another easy spot to hit up for a day of skiing or snowboarding! They offer ski and stay packages with accommodation in town and shuttles available. If you're new to trying either sport, they offer great lesson options as well. Spring skiing and patio sessions on the hill are a must if you're visiting between March-May, especially if you're able to make it out during Shake the Lake, the second weekend in May.
