Even in summer you'll find everything you want for a Norwegian Christmas. And you can post your cards home with an official Santa's Elf stamp. If driving there, be aware that there is a genuine (and Norway's only) traffic sign telling motorists to take care as Santa may be crossing the road!! The shop is right in the centre of the charming village of Drøbak. You can drive there from Vollen, by taking Slemmestadveien south and then the 7 km long tunnel which goes under the Oslo fjord. You might like to combine your visit to Drøbak with a 10 minute ferry boat ride out to Oscarsborg Fortress on an island mid-fjord, very famous because the first invading war-ship, Blücher, from Germany was sunk there in 1940.

Scandinavia's only permanent Christmas shop sells all kinds of Christmas articles, including candles, napkins, nisser, tablecloths and much more. Tregaarden's Christmas House in Drøbak is also has its own post office where you can stamp your letters or cards with their official Christmas stamp mark. The Christmas house is located in Drøbak, 35 kilometres south of Oslo.

Jul hele året i Julehuset. Fint sted å kjøpe forseggjort julepynt. (Christmas all year in Julehuset. Nice place to get high-quality Christmas decorations.)
