The University of Bristol Botanic Garden cultivates over 4,500 indigenous and exotic plant species on its five acres. The diverse collections range from the floral diversity collection, with an extraordinary selection of flowers, and the Mediterranean collection to the evolutionary dell, which displays ginkgos, cycads and tree terns. There is also a Chinese and Western medical herb garden used for research purposes. In addition to this, visitor tours by knowledgeable guides are available.
