45 minutes away by car. One of Brighton's attractions. Nice restaurants and clothing markets. Worth a trip

This is old Brighton. It straddles a few very old passages and roads which were part of the historic fishing town once called Brighthelmstone. Lots of lovely bars, restaurants and independent shops to enjoy plus take in the history

Walk along the seafront into Brighton (Approx. 30 minutes) and go for a stroll along the lanes. Such a cute place for visit for food, shopping or just simple people watching. Example location to head to, to ensure you get into the center of the lanes is Roly’s Fudge Pantry.

Much of Brighton oozes character and cool, but The Lanes are definitely leading the charge. These narrow streets brim with brilliant independent cafés, record stores, vintage emporiums, bookshops and art spaces – all housed in pretty 16thcentury buildings. Wandering this maze of passageways is an excellent way to spend an afternoon.
