Check out the John Dillinger exhibit here. There are still bullet holes in the walls and windows of the lodge (now a restaurant) where the April 23, 1934 shootout between the Dillinger Gang and the FBI occurred. Dillinger escaped along the shore of Little Star Lake. Open year round.

Historic Inn where a shoot out took place with gangster, John Dillinger and the place where parts of the movie about the events, Public Enemy, were filmed. Bullet holes remain in the windows! Enjoy the cool Northwoods atmosphere and several menu items with a German flair. Highly recommend the Pork Shank or schnitzel. Especially love to visit Little Bo during the holidays when they have the fireplace lit and live solo musicians in the bar area.

Site of John Dillinger and the Dillinger Gang's epic shootout with the F.B.I., the Lodge at Little Bohemia still has windows with bullet holes in them from the gunbattle that unfolded 80 years ago and is also the modern day filming location for the Universal Studios film starring Johnny Depp as John Dillinger, PUBLIC ENEMIES. Known for great food and drink since the 1920's! Step back in history at the Lodge, and remember...DILLINGER ONLY LEFT BECAUSE HE HAD TO!!!

John Dillinger was shot at in this place but escaped. Great food and fireplace! Owner has preserved the panes of glass with the bullet holes.
