The Gondola is the best view of the lake. It has great skiing too. Hiking in the summer.

A 2.4 mile ride up the Heavenly Mountain Gondola. Take in views of the Carson Valley, Desolation Wilderness and shore-to-shore views of Lake Tahoe.

Nice outdoor mall, movie theatre, etc. Good for walking around, night life, as well as shopping.

Heavenly Gondola starts here. PRO: non-skiers can join you at top of mountain. CON: Paid parking. Gondola fee for non-skier is not cheap.
