Roskilde Museum is the cultural museum of the city and the region. The exhibitions in Sankt Ols Gade tell the story of one of the country's most historically important cities - Denmark's first capital. The rich collections are exhibited in collaboration with the visual artists Maja Lisa Engelhardt and Peter Brandes. The museum has received a Nordic architectural award for architecture. The exhibition consists of rich collections of ancient and medieval times, such as: The Uroksen from Himmelev Gerdrupgraven - Pagan pastor buried with treasures, the unique finds from Lejre, the Queen's first seat, Denmark's largest medieval exhibition, suits, textiles, tents, silver and topographic paintings
