close, cheap italian. avoid cocktails, stick to the fantastic wine list. pastas are delicious!

French, esp. Alsacienne cuisine, one of the best places in Manhattan for a leisurely breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. Standouts include the fallen three cheese souffle & the chocolate cookies.
