If you want to try haggis it normally on the menu as a starter here which might give you the test of it you require. Opposite the castle its a popular bar and restaurant.

Fabulous view of the castle. On a fine Invernesian day sit in the beer garden and watch the world go by. Very close to Thistle House. Good food too!
