This beautiful protected beach is a mere 20 minute drive from Patnem. There are few beach shacks up away from the sand to enjoy home cooked Goan seafood and other local dishes. Please be aware there are no sunbeds or umbrellas here!

Once every year, the Olive Ridley Turtles found off Goa’s coast, head to the shore for nesting. Morjim, Galgibag and Agonda beaches see the most nestings. The turtles lay hundreds of eggs. On hatching, the hatchlings head back to sea. The entire process takes place under the careful watch of conservationists who ensure no one can cause the turtles any harm. Do try and catch this spectacle unfold the next time you are in Goa. Best time is between November & April.

Located in South Goa, by the South of the Talpona river is this quaint little paradise. Recognised as one of the cleanest beaches in Goa, the offbeat beach in Goa witnesses seasonal nesting and hatching of the endangered Olive Ridley turtle. Not only is the hidden beach in Goa blessed with crystal clear water, but it also has pristine and clean sands that make for quite a spectacle. The best time to visit this secret beach in Goa is from November to March. It is quite far from Dabolim Airport as well as the railway station. The only way to reach the hidden gem in Goa is to take a bus from Canacona Bus Station and reach Mashem. From here, you will need to take a ferry that will reach you to Galgibaga beach. Rest assured, it does have some exquisite beach resorts that would add more charm to your stay.
