Located in the heart of the municipality of Saint-Gilles, the square is a very popular place in Brussels. In addition to its daily market in existance since 1865, the court has some of the most famous cafés in Brussels: the Verschueren, the Maison du peuple as well as the Union. The church of Saint-Gilles was built from 1866-1878 in Neo-Roman style. As soon as the sun appears, the Parvis de Saint-Gilles becomes a must.

One of the nicest squares in Brussels, it's full of restaurants and cafés, and it's especially beautiful when it's sunny. You will also find a market every morning here.

Very nice place to have a beer. It's more a area for the artist and intellect. It's a bit the portobello of London.
