août 2017Joel and Asta were amazing hosts! They were extremely friendly and helpful, teaching us about the Icelandic history and culture. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. It was lovely talking to Joel and Asta while staying and they were very helpful in giving tips and advice for our travels. We also had a wonderful hike behind their farm to see the waterfall near the house and their two cute dogs led our way. We would definitely love to stay again if we came back!

juillet 2017We had such a lovely stay with Joel and Asta! Although it is a bit removed from the main road, Joel's directions were clear and we did not have trouble finding it. Joel and Asta are enormously friendly and sociable hosts. We shared dinner as well as breakfast, with multiple very fresh ingredients from the farm or otherwise nearby. We were encouraged to wander the farm, and learned a lot about how this working dairy farm operates. Moreover, the beds were comfortable, the wifi good, and the curtains fairly dark (rare, in our experience in Iceland!). I cannot recommend a stay here enough.

juillet 2017Amazing stay at Joel and Asta's farmhouse and they made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Joel recommended for us to take a walk up to see their canyon/waterfall with their pet dogs and cat. It was unreal to know that this is their own backyard. Asta also prepared us with breakfast which included her delicious homemade jams and marmalades. Highly recommended place if you want to experience the Icelandic farm life!

juillet 2017This was a great stay, in the original Airbnb style. Great hosts Joel and Asta who provide a fantastic breakfast at their farmhouse that is nestled in a beautiful valley across from the site of Erik the Red's farm. I chose this location to be close to both the Snaefellsnes Peninsula as well as the West Fjords. It is off one of the main roads (although it takes a while to travel around the lake to their farm). If you like to meet friendly Icelanders and their farm staff, and are looking for authentic experiences in a beautiful setting, you will be happy here.

juillet 2017This was just simply magical. Great location with the hike to to waterfalls and beautiful scenery. We were welcomed for dinner for an extra fee and the food was amazing! Breakfast was also out of this world! The hosts are so welcoming and invited us to milk the cows and drink fresh milk. The entire experience was just one of the greatest we had in Iceland. I would have spent more time if I could. Even their dog is nice!!! Just go there, you will not regret it!
